Mule Deer Foundation Annual Banquet

Dear Friend in Conservation,

The Northern Badlands Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) will hold its 15th Annual Banquet at

the AMVETS Club (2402 Railroad Ave.) in Bismarck on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Each year over 300

men, women and children attend the banquet to support the efforts of our local chapter on fulfilling the

MDF mission. Attendees participate in multiple activities that help our chapter raise money including

many great raffles, a silent auction as well as a live auction full of items donated by local businesses and

The mission of the Mule Deer Foundation is to ensure the conservation of mule deer, black tail deer and

their habitat. The atmosphere at MDF events is one of family, fun and friends, with an underlying sense

of purpose. MDF believes our children are the key to protecting and growing our hunting heritage. We

also believe it is vital to MDF’s conservation goals that young people are taught to appreciate and value

wildlife and the great outdoors and why we developed the Mindful, Understanding, Legal, Ethical, Youth

(M.U.L.E.Y.) program here in ND and spread it nationwide. MDF also supports youth archery in the

schools shooting programs across North Dakota.

Will you join us in protecting the future of Mule Deer and our hunting heritage in North Dakota by

making a donation or discount on a product or service for our raffles, silent or live auctions? Your item

or cash contribution is tax deductible and we will proudly recognize you or your business at our banquet

for your generous contribution to our effort!

The mule deer population in North Dakota is slowly recovering but still faces many ongoing challenges

due to changes in their western habitats, severe winters and predation. It’s important that we ALL make

an effort to preserve the future of the outdoor activities we enjoy today.

With your ongoing support, MDF is continuing our partnership with ND Game and Fish in sponsoring

over 27,000 acres of P.L.O.T.S. (Private Land Open To Sportsmen) tracts in western ND. In addition, MDF

was awarded $470,000 through the ND Outdoor Heritage Fund to implement a MDF Western ND

Habitat Enhancement Program! It’s our goal to match this grant at 25% and with your support, MDF can

work to rehab and enhance critical mule deer habitats over many thousands of acres over the next 2

Thank you for your past and ongoing support. Please see the attached information on how to contact us

and lend your support to the MDF mission! We hope to see you at the banquet on February 27th!
