Fins and Feathers 2017 Event Set

Categories

FINS CATEGORY: Teams may submit up to two people’s daily bag limit of walleye (5);

northern pike (5); trout (3); salmon (5); yellow perch (20); blue gill (20); crappie (10);

largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, or combination (3); White Bass (20); Catfish (no limit);

and Muskellunge (1). Refer to lineup card for point system.

UPLAND FEATHERS CATEGORY: Teams may submit up to two people’s daily

bag limit of ring-necked pheasants (3), sharp-tailed grouse (3), ruffed grouse (3), doves

(15),Hungarian partridge (3), turkey (1), Wilson's snipe (8) and woodcock (3) with legal species

restrictions strictly observed. Refer to lineup card for point system.

WATERFOWL FEATHERS CATEGORY: Teams may submit up to two people’s daily

bag limit of Canada geese (8), light geese (50), white-fronted geese (3), ducks (6), mergansers (5),

tundra swan (1), sandhill crane (3), with legal species restrictions strictly observed. Refer to lineup

card for point system.

FURBEARER CATEGORY: The following game will be scored: Badger, Coyote, Fox, Tree

Squirrels (4), Beaver, Raccoon, & Mountain Lion. All legal furbearer rules apply and hunting may

begin at 12:01 AM October 21 where it applies.

NORTH DAKOTAN CHAMPION: Individuals or teams must adhere to the guidelines of

all four fins and feathers categories and score in each category as they accumulate overall points.

Strive to “hook, hunt, and harvest” your way to the traveling trophy that will be given to the

winning team. Each North Dakotan team may submit one (1) daily bag limit per category.

Start Time/Weigh-in/Harvest Scoring

All hunting & fishing may begin at their legal times. Teams may begin as early as 12:01 AM

October 21 where rules apply. Weigh-in/harvest scoring will take place between 5 pm and 6:15

pm, on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at Wilton Memorial Hall (105 Dakota Ave., Wilton, ND,

58579). Late entrants will not be eligible for weigh-in/harvest scoring. Supper, prizes, and great

raffle items will be available!

In the event of a tie, please refer to weigh-in/harvest scoresheet.

Evening events

5-6:15 pm Check-in of harvest, team pictures & social at Wilton Memorial Hall

in Wilton, ND

6:30-8 pm Dinner, Social & Live Blue Grass from the Flea-bitten Tramps

Duck & Goose Calling contests & Individual specialty awards

Bucket Raffles, Shell Raffle & Silent Auction

Ticket Raffle (can purchase prior to or at event)
